MARGAO: Navelim Villagers Union defeated Guirdolim Club 4-2 via the tie-breaker to enter into the semifinals of the 23rd Benaulim Villagers Cup village football tournament organized by Dando Boys Club of Benaulim and played at St. John the Baptista football ground Dando Benaulim.
The full-time score remained a goalless draw.
In the tiebreaker, the Navelim villagers union netted through
Clinton Niasso, Nash Pereira, Ronaldo Pereira, and Aden Pereira, as well as for Guirdolim club Akram Yadwad and Valentino Carvalho.
After a barren full session, – Navelim Villagers Union proved to be better shooters.
In another match, Guardian Angel SC defeated Varca SC 3-0 to enter into semifinals of the 23rd Benaulim Villagers Cup football tournament organized by Dando Boys Club Benaulim and played at St. John the Baptista Dando Panchayat ground on Sunday.
Guardian Angel SC scored all three goals in the first session through Adriano Gomes, Godwin Fernandes and Gerito Fernandes.
