MAPUSA: The Goa unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted an interstate drug syndicate leading to the arrest of four accused persons including an alleged drug kingpin and the freezing of properties worth over Rs 1 crore, which are said to be acquired through the drug money.
In an operation undertaken since February, the NCB has arrested four accused including two peddlers, Raju S and Michael, the main drug dealer Stanley, a Nigerian national, and his wife Usha C.
The NCB has frozen allegedly illegally acquired properties worth Rs 1.06 crore belonging to Usha and Stanley.
During the initial investigation, it was learnt that the accused was merely a peddler working for a bigger drug network that was operated by Stanley and Usha, both residing in Candolim.
It was further learnt that the kingpin Stanley had some associated local people to whom he provided drugs in bulk quantities for delivering to his customers
