New Delhi: In a high-level meeting held in New Delhi on Sunday, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) adopted a resolution lauding the successful execution of Operation Sindoor and hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The resolution, which praised both the armed forces and the central government, was unanimously backed by chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from NDA-ruled states.
The resolution was formally proposed by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and seconded by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde. It commended the courage and precision displayed by India’s defence forces in targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), and highlighted the “decisive, courageous, and nation-first” leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
“Operation Sindoor is not just a military action, it is a powerful symbol of India’s national resolve,” said Shinde during the presentation. “Under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi ji, India is responding to every challenge with fearless determination.”
The NDA leaders also passed a second resolution supporting the recently announced caste census by the Union government. This initiative was described as a pivotal step toward inclusive governance and evidence-based policymaking.
The one-day NDA conclave was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister and BJP President JP Nadda, along with nearly 19 chief ministers and an equal number of deputy chief ministers from NDA-ruled states. Discussions focused on key governance topics including the Modi government’s first anniversary in its third term, best practices from state governments, and the implementation of welfare schemes.
Details of Operation Sindoor
Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including a Nepalese national. The operation involved precision strikes on nine terror targets across Pakistan and PoK.
Among the key sites hit were terror bases in Rafiqui (Shorkot, Jhang), Murid (Chakwal), Nur Khan (Chaklala, Rawalpindi), Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian (Kasur). In addition, major Pakistani air bases at Skardu, Bholari, Jacobabad, and Sargodha suffered extensive damage. Reports indicate that the strikes eliminated at least ten family members of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar and four of his close aides.
The NDA’s resolution marked the government’s firm stance on terrorism and reinforced its commitment to national security through decisive action and policy leadership.
