CUNCOLIM: Cuncolim police have registered a case of unnatural death after a 60-year-old worker, Lal Singh, native of Nepal and residing at Cuncolim, was found hanging behind Darbar Restaurant at Cuncolim on the morning of September 29, 2025. Police said they received a call from Saiesh Prabhu of Cuncolim at 7.59 am, informing them of the incident. The deceased had used a nylon rope tied to a window grill as the ligature material. A scene-of-occurrence panchanama was conducted, the body was lowered, and an inquest panchanama was carried out. The deceased was later identified by the restaurant owner Umesh Prabhu as his worker. The body has been shifted to the South District Hospital, Margao, for preservation and medico-legal formalities. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Kishor Velip of Cuncolim Police Station.
