Nerul: Nerul SC clinched the 35th All Goa St Anne’s Festival Inter-Village Soccer 2025 title after defeating SAI Avtar Anjuna 6–5 in a tense penalty shootout, following a goalless draw in regulation time at the Animal Husbandry Ground, Curti-Ponda. Organized by Ponda Footballers and supported by SAG, with backing from Bhatikar Charitable Trust and Rising Ponda, the final drew over 2,000 spectators. Both sides missed key chances in regulation time, but Nerul SC held their nerve in the tie-breaker to secure the trophy. Individual awards went to Akshay Vengulkar (Best Defender), Chetan Dhobolkar (Best Striker), Aman (Best Midfielder), Soma Korgaonkar (Best Goalkeeper), and Deu Sangelkar (Man of the Match). Chief guest Dr. Ketan Bhatikar, along with several dignitaries, presented the prizes, while a special felicitation was held for Mr. Derri in recognition of his contributions to local football.
