New Mandovi Bridge to be closed at night for 20 days *Closure would be from 10 pm-6am from Nov 2-22 for maintenance

PANAJI: The Public Works Department (PWD) has informed that the new Mandovi Bridge will be closed for vehicular traffic from November 2 to 22 between 10 pm to 6 am (total of 8 hours) for maintenance.
During the closure, heavy vehicles will be diverted via Atal Setu, and light vehicles will be diverted via Old Mandovi Bridge.
“Whereas the work of Replacement of existing elastomeric expansion joints and bearings of the New Mandovi Bridge on NH-17 (66) across River Mandovi on EPC mode at Panaji Goa is started for which there is a need to close the New Mandovi bridge from 02.11.2022 to 22.11.2022 between 10.00 pm to 6.00 am (total 8hrs) for the maintenance of the bridge. During the closure, heavy traffic is to be diverted via Atal Setu and light vehicles via Old Mandovi Bridge,’ said PWD.
It further states that MoRT&H vide letter No. NH-11011/33/2019-LA dated 18.09.2019 has confirmed the delegation of powers to the Executive Engineers of the respective wing of the state PWD to discharge the function of Highway Administrator under the Control of National Highway (Land & Traffic) Act 2002
