PANJIM: A 46-year-old newlywed woman committed suicide by hanging herself in Anjuna.
The victim, identified as Seema had tied the knot with Gaurish Chodankar at a temple in Anjuna, on Saturday.
Police suspect that the incident occurred between 3am and 5am on Sunday.
The police said the victim, hailing from Margao had an arranged marriage.
Sub Divisional Magistrate has already begun an inquiry.
A post mortem will be conducted on tomorrow.
