PANAJI: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) to publish on its official website a detailed list of all unauthorised coastal structures flagged through complaints.
A three-member Bench, while hearing an execution plea filed by Sagardeep Sirsaikar, gave GCZMA a three-month deadline to comply. The Tribunal said the list must include the name of the complainant, name of the alleged violator, nature of violation, action taken, and present status of each case.
The order came after the applicant objected to GCZMA’s stand that only cases with demolition orders would be uploaded. He argued that all unauthorised structures pending before the Authority, irrespective of demolition orders, should be made public.
Disposing of the petition, the NGT also clarified that the applicant may seek further legal recourse in case of non-compliance.
