Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted a massive crackdown across Jammu and Kashmir, raiding 32 locations in connection with an ongoing terror conspiracy investigation.
According to officials, the coordinated raids targeted suspected overground workers (OGWs) associated with various terrorist organisations. The searches were carried out in multiple districts, including Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Baramulla, and Kupwara.
The operation is part of a broader investigation into efforts by terror groups to revive and expand their networks in the region. The NIA is probing the role of local facilitators believed to be involved in planning and supporting terror activities.
Officials stated that these raids aim to uncover evidence related to recruitment, logistics, and financing of terrorism in the Union Territory. Further details regarding the findings and any arrests are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
