PANAJI: The Goa Police Crime Branch arrested a Nigerian national for possessing banned narcotics worth Rs 1,12,000 at Nagoa football ground, Bardez.
According to the Crime branch release on 07/12/2022, Crime Branch PS Cr. No. 133/2022 U/s 22 (C) of NDPS Act, 1985, stands registered upon the state complaint of PI Nitin V. Halarnkar attached to Crime Branch, Ribandar, against the Nigerian.
It said that on 06/12/22 between 22:10 hours to 00:40 hours of 07/12/22, at the near football ground, Nagoa Bardez Goa accused Ebuka Chiuba Obiekwe, Nigerian National, age 38 years, presently residing at Gama waldo, Parra Bardez Goa was found in possession of one transparent polyphone bag contains in it blue colour oval shape 32 tablets, weighing 15:40 grams, suspected to be psychotropic substance ecstasy tablets.
He had concealed the bag in his blue colour facisno scooter dickey bearing registration No. GA-03-AQ-6039, all worth Rs.1,12,000/- approximately in the international market.
