PERNEM: Pernem Police on Tuesday arrested a Nigerian national for allegedly residing in Goa without valid travel documents.
The case has been registered under Pernem Police Station Crime No. 64/2025 for offences under Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, based on a complaint filed by PSI Sahil Naik (29) of Pernem Police Station.
According to police, at around 11:25 a.m. on October 14, 2025, the accused, identified as Oluwole Titilayo Adewumi (50), a Nigerian national with his present address unknown, was found staying illegally at Don Khamb, Dhargal, without possessing valid travel documents such as a passport or visa.
The accused was placed under arrest at 3:18 p.m. in compliance with all Supreme Court guidelines.
Further investigation is being carried out by Pernem Police.
