A team of National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) today conducted salinity study on Mhadei River at various locations in the Basin.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant thanked the Centre for quick response.
“I am thankful to the Union Government and more particularly the Minister for Jal Shakti Shri
@gssjodhpur Ji for quick response to our request,” he tweeted.
Sawant said that the NIH team will again conduct such inspection in lean season in March to May.
The Union Ministry of Jal Shakti had in August appointed the National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee to study the salinity in Goa’s Mhadei river, according to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
