PORVORIM: Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao expressed concerns about security and safety at the Cujira Educational Complex.
During the Assembly session, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who oversees the education portfolio, gave clarifications and assurances.
In response to inquiries regarding antisocial behaviour and illicit activity at the complex, Sawant made it clear that, since the complex’s founding, no such instances have been reported to the Directorate by the headmaster, parents, or school administration.
In reference to safety precautions, Sawant emphasized that the relevant school administrations are actively carrying out the essential procedures to guarantee the security of instructors, parents, and kids.
In response to inquiries on the installation of CCTV cameras, Sawant stated that all of the Cujira Educational Complex’s schools had CCTV cameras installed, guaranteeing improved security and monitoring.
But when questioned about funding plans for increasing security camera coverage in all Goan schools, the chief minister said that no special funding had been set up for this reason.
