MORMUGAO: A no-confidence motion filed against Mormugao vice chairperson Ramchandra Kamat was passed by 13 votes at a meeting held in the municipal hall on Friday (6th Feb). Councillors supporting Ramchandra Kamat argued that the letter submitted to move the no-confidence motion was not in the name of a councillor and that the name mentioned was incorrect, therefore claiming that the motion was invalid and demanding that the meeting be cancelled. However, since the meeting on the no-confidence motion was held and the motion was passed, the councillors supporting Kamat said after the meeting that they would approach the court against this decision.
