PONDA: Former Ponda MLA Ravi Naik claims to have undertaken development in Marcaim in his five years tenure.
He claimed that no new development work in Marcaim in the past 25 years.
During a small public meet at Talaulim village, BJP leader Ravi Naik stated that “only development works done are in my 5 years tenure, and the same is being seen in Marcaim. There has been no new development works in Marcaim for past 25 years.”
When asked whether he would contest from Marcaim for conducting further development in the Marcaim constituency, Naik said it depends on the Party. “Party Will decide whether I should contest from Marcaim or from Ponda.”
Naik launched Chay Pei Churcha in Marcaim Constituency, BJP Block President Pradeep Shet, Women Wing President Sharmila Lotlikar, Prashant Naik, Vidya Gaude and other BJP workers.
He was seen doing chay pei churcha from Ramanthi, Durbhat, Talavalim, Kavlem area, and party workers.
Ravi met his old supporters when he was MLA of Marcaim Constituency. Ravi, who was former Chief Minister when he was Marcaim MLA 25 years back, said he couldn’t see any new development work in Marcaim.
“I know many people who are my supporters,” he said.
Ravi said when he goes for Chay Pei Churcha his old supporters say they did not see any development in the past twenty-five years after Ravi Naik left the Marcaim Constituency.
Naik added that “in my five years I did a lot of development works including Marcaim Hospital, beside cattles hospital, Marcaim Industrial Estates, Community hall in every village and that no new development is seen at Marcaim”. “There is no improvement in roads, No development of educational institutions, Colleges and the students goes far away places for higher education. Similarly, there is an unemployment problem which needs to be solved,” Naik added.
