PANAJI:
At a time when the doctors and other staff are being physically assaulted by the relatives of COVID19 victims, to increase their woes the Goa Medical College has issued a diktat of cancelling all their holidays including weekly offs.
The order issued by the GMC Director (Admin), no staff will be granted leave till further notice.
“In view COVID19outbreak and to tackle the situation all the staff of Goa Medical College shall work on public holidays including Saturday & Sunday till further orders,” the order says.
Further, it says, “the above order is for strict compliance. Any deviation from the above will be viewed seriously and action deemed fit will be initiated against the defaulter.”
