
Panaji: Following a fresh COVID19 scare due to second wave in UK, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said there was no need to panic as all passengers arriving from UK in last 15 days are being strictly monitored.
Ten persons arriving from the UK recently tested positive on Wednesday raising a fresh scare. The DHS has sent their their samples to NIV Pune.
“Those who have arrived in last eight days have be asked to compulsorily undergo home isolation. We will conduct their RTOPCR now,” he said.
He added, “There is no need to panic as health department team is personally monitoring all of them”.
Asked about any plans of lockdown or curfew, he said, “No plans of night curfew as done Maharashtra and Karnataka.”
