PANAJI: North Goa Collector Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS chaired the District Level Committee meeting to review and decide on claims submitted under the Forest Rights Act, 2006.
During the meeting, a total of 94 claims from Satrem village in Sattari taluka were approved, while 7 claims were referred back to the Sub-Divisional Level Committee of Sattari for further scrutiny.
The approvals mark a significant step in implementing the Forest Rights Act in North Goa, providing legal recognition to eligible forest dwellers in the region.
