PANAJI: For a period of six months, Pastor Domnic D’souza and his spouse Joan D’souza have been removed from the North Goa district’s authority. Dr. Sneha Gitte, an IAS officer holding the position of District Magistrate for North Goa, has issued the directive.
As per the directive, Pastor Domnic and his spouse Joan must disclose their address to the commanding officer of the closest police station once a month, even in the event of a non-change.
They also have to notify the authorities of their departure from the state of Goa within ten days of leaving. When they get back to the state, they have to report to the closest police station within ten days of arriving.
Pastor Domnic and his spouse Joan are prohibited from living inside the boundaries of the North Goa district as of right now. This action prompts inquiries and conjectures about the motivations for the order, which the authorities have not yet formally revealed.
Recall that earlier in January, Goa Police detained Pastor Dominic D’Souza on suspicion of engaging in black magic and religious conversion efforts.
This action came about as a result of a complaint made by Vadivel B, a Tamil Nadu resident who was living in Curti-Ponda at the time.
