Panaji: : Collector and District Election Officer of North Goa Ankit Yadav held a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties on Thursday to finalise proposals for rationalising polling stations across several assembly constituencies. The meeting took place at the Collectorate’s conference hall.
Yadav said proposals for changes in polling stations were submitted by the Electoral Registration Officers of Mandrem, Tivim, Saligao, Calangute, Porvorim, St. Cruz and Cumbarjua constituencies. These proposals were discussed with party representatives and were finalised during the meeting.
The Collector also reviewed the appointment of Booth Level Agents. He emphasised that parties must appoint BLA I and BLA II in time as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision. He briefed the members on updated Election Commission instructions which allow BLA II to be appointed from any part of the constituency.
Yadav also shared the latest data on digitisation of electoral forms, reporting that 2,90,590 forms had been digitised as of 10 am on Thursday.
He asked political parties to instruct their Booth Level Agents to support officials during the Summary Intensive Revision 2026 to ensure the exercise is completed on schedule.
