PANAJI: North Goa District Hospital, Mapusa, has started offering blood transfusions for Thalassemia patients in the Paediatric ward.
“North Goa District Hospital, Mapusa, now offers blood transfusions for Thalassemia patients in the Paediatric ward. Thalassemia is a hereditary blood disorder, and timely transfusions can make a world of difference,” said Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
He furrther said that first patient marked this milestone by inaugurating the services. Kudos to Dr. Vandana Dhume and our dedicated team at NGDH for making this happen.
“A special spot in the Pediatric Ward is reserved for Thalassemia patients. We’re committed to top-notch care for all Thalassemia patients,” he added.
Thalassemia is a hereditary blood disorder which requires timely blood transfusions. A special spot in the Pediatric Ward is reserved for Thalassemia patients.
