PANAJI: The North Goa District Road Safety Committee made the decision to examine traffic incidents and improve departmental collaboration.
Following the meeting at the North Goa Collectorate office, Roland Martins, a member of the North Goa District Road Safety Committee and GOACAN coordinator, announced that the committee had decided to submit the results of an analysis of all accidents in the state that was carried out in collaboration with other government ministries.
According to him, the Department of Transport and the Directorate of Education would work together more effectively to carry out taluka-level projects that educate children about road safety issues.
For the convenience of residents in North Goa’s rural areas, the committee also decided to print literature in vernacular languages.
According to him, the average person frequently has no idea what zebra crossing is.
According to him, the meeting also found five instances in which two or three people were involved in multi-vehicle collisions. The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims will be commemorated on the third Sunday in November.
According to Martins, the number of accidents has not decreased despite a positive response to road safety during the just ended Road Safety Week. According to him, it was proposed that in order to promote road safety, alcometers be given to KTC and the police, and that messages be shown on the EV city buses.
