Panaji: The District Magistrate-cum-Adjudicating Officer, North Goa, has penalised the proprietor and Food Business Operator (FBO) of M/s Rudra Kaju, SN7/183, Shop No. 4, Calangute, for multiple violations under the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) regulations.
Samples of masala kaju, plain kaju, and peel kaju from the outlet were found with incomplete label declarations, breaching the FSSAI Labelling and Display Regulations, 2011. Inspections also revealed the business was operating in unhygienic conditions, contravening the FSSAI Licensing and Registration Regulations, 2011.
Authorities noted that the FBO failed to submit compliance reports despite being directed to do so. The action underscores the administration’s commitment to enforcing food safety standards in the state.
