DONA-PAULA: The Harbour coastal police have registered an offence against two persons for operating boats without licence and endangering lives of people at Sea.
An offence was registered to the effect that on Sunday at about 6.30 PM ,off Coast Dona Paula, accused person Vasudev Calangutkar, resident of Tita wada, Nerul who is the owner of the boat “MV Nerul Paradise'”, allowed accused person Abhishek Rathod, (20 ), a resident of Candolim but native of Bijapur Karnataka to operate the inland Passenger vessel/Boat without any documents/license from the competent authority to operate the vessel/boat and with their common intention boarded the said vessel/boat with Tourist Passengers and one crew member
Furthermore,Abhishek Rathod negligently operated the vessel/boat without Licence and ventured into the sea thereby endangering the life of the passengers and crew member who were on
board and got stranded in the sea, as the operator could not navigate the vessel/boat in the sea and had to be rescued by the Indian Coast Guard.
Coastal police have registered an offence Under sections 280, 336 r/w 34 IPC PSI Pritesh D.Govekar of Harbour Coastal PS is further investigating the case
