OLD GOA: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that the state government has taken all possible action under the law in regards to Old Goa illegal structure while stating that no one can break the law.
“We have already issued an order to the Old Goa Panchayat to take legal action. We have taken all action possible under the law in regards to the illegal structure. No one can break the law,” said CM Sawant while speaking on the controversial Structure.
He further said that the state government is always there to protect the heritage and identity of Old Goa.
“The ASI, the state government and the central government have always maintained Old Goa and will continue to maintain it,” he said.
CM said that 100 percent action has been taken and whatever is left as per legal order will be done.
Sawant had said earlier that in his whole tenure, he has never allowed anyone to erect an illegal structure.
“Whoever has built the illegal structure and whoever wants it razed needs to correspond officially. They should not just speak through the medium of press. If it is illegal then let it be demolished. I have no objection,” he said.
