COLVALE: Colvale Police today have arrested both private school teachers Sujal Gawade and Kanishka Gadekar for brutally assaulting a standard 4 student.
As per information, the teachers have been arrested under Section 118(1) for voluntarily causing hurt by means of any instrument, 126 (2) wrongful restraintment and 351(2)i.e threat with intention to cause fear.
The management of the private primary school at Camurlim suspended the two teachers who have been accused of brutally assaulting a Std IV student.
The teachers Sujal Gaude and Kanishka Gadekar were suspended two days after the horrific incident.
On Wednesday, two teachers were brought before the authorities at the Colvale police station. They are suspected of torturing a nine-year-old kid at a Camurlim primary school that is privately run.
The incident happened at a privately run primary school in Camurlim on September 2 at around 8.30 am.
Both teachers are accused of beating a fourth-grader who tore pages out of his books. The victim’s father lodged a complaint against the two involved teachers after this occurrence.
According to police reports, the English teacher restrained the victim with a steel ruler after he told one of the teachers that the torn sheets were written on.
The boy was then allegedly kicked in the stomach and hit in the hands, thighs, legs, back, chest, and face by the math and Marathi instructor, who also used the ruler to attack him.
