PANAJI: BJP Goa President Sadanand Tanavade has once again ruled out the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle, emphasizing that the visits by five MLAs and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to Delhi were purely coincidental.
“The five MLAs’ appearance in Delhi was purely coincidental. During their individual assignments, they met with various union ministers. For State-related matters, CM was also present, according to Tanavade.
He reiterated that the CM has the right to make any immediate changes to the cabinet. The assembly’s monsoon session is quickly approaching, so there won’t be a reorganization. The CM will make that decision; I am not aware of any plans for a reshuffle after that either,” he continued.
Speaking further on the Assagao House demolition matter, Tanavade assured that everyone, regardless of status, connected to the demolition of the Assagao House ought to be prosecuted.
“The police should not have approved the demolition in the absence of a court order. If there had been an order from the court, the police could have justified their actions. But it’s not appropriate to follow someone’s instructions without a formal order,” Tanavade said.
“Action needs to be carried out now that it has begun. “Those in charge, regardless of their position, ought to face consequences,” he declared.
