BICHOLIM: Bicholim Police have arrested one person from Tamil Nadu for kidnapping and sexual assault of one minor girl.
As per SDPO Bicholim Jivba Dalvi, a complaint was lodged by the father of the girl to the effect that in the month of May 2024, the Accused person namely Naveenkumar Gaundar,
Native of Tamil Nadu without consent and wish of the complainant, kidnapped his daughter aged – 17 Yrs.
In this connection, Bicholim Police immediately registered an FIR and investigations were taken up.
The accused person was absconding along with the victim girl since the commission of the offence.
Further Bicholim police station team consisting of PSI Jayprakash Jankar, constables Mayur Asulkar and Ashwini Gaonkar were deputed to trace the victim girl and accused person.
Thereafter using technical surveillance, and intelligence and with hectic affords the victim girl was traced at Rasipuram Tamil Nadu along with accused Naveenkumar s/o Mani Gaunder, age 26 yrs, r/o. Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu and they were brought to the Bicholim Police Station.
FIR under Sections 363 IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act, 64(2)(i) of BNS and sections 4 and 6 of POSCO Act have been registered.
The rescued Minor victim girl has been lodged in Apna Ghar Merces after recording a statement before NGO and Medical examination.
Further investigation is in progress with LPSI Sonali Harmalkar under the supervision of PI Dinesh Gadekar and SDPO Bicholim Shri Jivba Dalvi and overall guidance of SP North Shri Akshat Kaushal IPS.
