RAIA: A man sustained grievous injuries while another was hurt in a road accident near Niclaw Bakery, Tembim, Raia, after a Hyundai car allegedly collided with a motorcycle on the evening of September 12, 2025.
According to a state complaint lodged by ASI Jitendra Gaonkar of Maina-Curtorim Police Station, the incident occurred around 8:30 pm when the accused driver of a Hyundai car, proceeding from Ponda towards Margao, allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner endangering human life.
On reaching near Niclaw Bakery at Tembim, Raia, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, veered into the opposite lane, and crashed into an oncoming CBZ Extreme motorcycle.
As a result, the motorcycle rider, Bhikaji Dangui, resident of Aquem, Margao, sustained grievous injuries, while the pillion rider also suffered injuries.
Police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the car driver. Further enquiry is in progress with ASI Jitendra Gaonkar of Maina-Curtorim Police Station.
