VALPOI: Valpoi Police have arrested two persons for being responsible for the killing of another person during wild boar hunting.
As per SDPO Bicholim Jivba Dalvi a complaint was lodged that at Patwal Sattari, Goa accused persons namely Babu s/o Umar Sanghar and Gaus s/o Noor Ahmed Patel, together along with Samad s/o Inus Khan, r/o Nanus Valpoi Sattari, Goa with their common intention went for hunting in Etios Toyota car bearing No: GA-04-C-8716 of wild animals with two illegal firearms loaded with cartridges along with other ammunitions.
During the said illegal hunting by the accused using illegal firearms, a gun shot was fired which hit Samad Inus Khan nephew of the complainant who was also accompanying the accused person/s for hunting, thereby causing him serious injuries and his death.
In this connection an offence vide Valpoi Police Station have registered FIR under sections 105 r/w 3(5) BNS, Section 3 r/w 25 of The India Arms Act and Section 9 of The Wild Life Protection Act 1972.
During the course of investigation both the above accused person/s were placed under arrest on.
SP North Akshat Kaushal, IPS along with SDPO Bicholim Jivba Dalvi visited the spot and took stock of the situation.
