PANAJI: Almost 24 hours after the incident was reported, the police traced and arrested the kidnapper woman and rescued the infant baby, who was allegedly kidnapped from the premise of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) yesterday.
The lady along with the baby was found at Saleli village in Valpoi, from where she originally belong from.
As per police, the kidnapper woman claims that the child is her own.
In order to ascertain the biological mother of the child, the police to conduct medical examination of both thr woman- including the Orissa based woman, who claimed to be the mother.
The kidnapping case against unknown woman was initially registeted by the Agassaim police.
The incident was reported on Friday evening after the mother of the baby, who is from Orissa, who informed that a unknown lady ran away with her child.
The Agassaim, Panaji and Old Goa police along with Crime Branch team launched massive hunt for the accused lady.
