PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Health Department will be directed to initiate online patient registration at Goa Medical College and Hospital.

Additionally, Sawant said that efforts will be made to allocate a dedicated counter for persons with disabilities.
Sawant also said that Goa’s sports infrastructure developed for the National Games is set to foster a strong athletic culture within the state, our achievements in the National Games stand as a testament to these efforts.
“State government will recommend Goa’s nightingale Lorna Cordeiro for the prestigious Padma Shri,” he added
Sawant said that the last date to recommend names for civilian awards was over and that the government will definitely recommend her name next year.
Sawant said the Home Stay policy will primarily benefit the people living in Sanguem, Quepem, Canacona, Sattari, Bicholim and Pernem talukas.
“This policy also gives scope for women entrepreneurs as it aims to take tourists to the hinterlands. We have noticed that tourists like to stay in rural areas, especially during the rainy season,” he said, adding the caravan policy will also help travellers explore Goa in a better way.
