PANAJI: Punjab Chief Minister and AAP leader Bhagwant Mann visited Goa, asserting that only the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) can provide Goans with a ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme ensuring free treatment at top private hospitals.
Mann was warmly received at Dabolim Airport by AAP Goa State President Valmiki Naik, Goa In-Charge and former Delhi CM Atishi, Working President Gerson Gomes, Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai, along with party volunteers and leaders.
Addressing a press conference at the International Centre Goa, Mann highlighted AAP’s healthcare model in Punjab, which provides ₹10 lakh health coverage to every citizen, covering treatment across more than 900 government and private hospitals. He slammed the BJP, saying, “While BJP is busy buying MLAs and selling off the country’s assets, AAP is busy buying medicines, building hospitals, and fulfilling the needs of the common man.”
AAP Goa State President Valmiki Naik added, “Only AAP can give the people of Goa a ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme like in Punjab. The BJP will never do this. The CAG report has exposed their failures, including a 51% shortage of doctors at GMC.” He also criticized the BJP’s DDSSY scheme for covering only 447 procedures and excluding basic surgeries like cataracts, which AAP MLAs have facilitated despite being in the opposition.
Former Delhi CM and Goa In-Charge Atishi emphasized the success of AAP’s governance in Punjab, particularly in healthcare and education. “Now it is in the hands of the people of Goa. If Goans want a ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme and real healthcare reforms, only an AAP government can deliver it,” she said.
The AAP reiterated that its healthcare model demonstrates the power of citizen-first, people-centric governance and urged Goans to choose healthcare, dignity, and accountability over BJP’s promises.
