Karmali: In a prompt and efficient action under Operation Amanat, railway authorities successfully traced and returned a lost laptop bag to its rightful owner, reinforcing confidence in the system’s commitment to passenger assistance.
On January 5, 2026, a passenger reported that he had accidentally left behind his laptop bag while travelling on Train No. 10103 at Thivim Railway Station. Acting swiftly on the information received, the concerned staff coordinated efforts and traced the bag at Karmali Railway Station.
Upon recovery, the bag was found to contain a laptop valued at approximately ₹75,000, a power bank worth ₹2,500, along with a charger and the bag itself, taking the total value of the recovered property to around ₹80,000.
After completing all due formalities, the recovered items were safely handed over to the passenger at around 9:00 pm on the same day. The passenger expressed his sincere appreciation for the timely assistance, honesty, and coordinated efforts of the railway staff involved in the operation.
The successful resolution of the case once again highlights the effectiveness of Operation Amanat, an initiative aimed at ensuring the safe recovery and return of lost property to passengers through prompt action and responsible handling.
