New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released striking before-and-after satellite images showcasing the effectiveness of its precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps and strategic airfields in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The images reveal significant destruction at two major terror hubs: Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) base, Markaz Taiba, in Muridke, Punjab province. Both sites served as key operational and training centres for their respective terror outfits.
The IAF confirmed that it executed its mission with high accuracy and in accordance with India’s national objectives. “This multi-dimensional operation successfully neutralised terrorist threats, deterred Pakistani aggression, and reinforced India’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism — all while maintaining strategic restraint and garnering international support,” the IAF stated.
Key Targets of Operation Sindoor:
• Markaz Taiba, Muridke: Established in 2000, this was Lashkar-e-Taiba’s primary training centre in Nangal Sahdan. Enrolling around 1,000 students annually, it was central to LeT’s radicalisation and recruitment efforts. The site has now been severely damaged by Indian air strikes.
• Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur: Operational since 2015, this JeM facility served as the group’s headquarters and indoctrination hub. It housed top JeM leadership, including chief Maulana Masood Azhar, de-facto leader Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar, and senior member Maulana Ammar. The camp has direct links to the 2019 Pulwama terror attack and was one of the key targets successfully neutralised during the operation.
In addition to these terror camps, India’s retaliatory strikes targeted Pakistani air defence systems and airfields, effectively degrading their operational capabilities.
The operation marks a significant step in India’s counter-terrorism efforts, sending a clear message of zero tolerance towards cross-border terrorism while upholding strategic discipline on the global stage.
