Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Tuesday asked whether BJP will produce minutes of All Party meeting with signatures of Opposition MLA’s substantiating their claim that Opposition had unanimously agreed for one day session of Goa Legislative Assembly?
“Our acceptance was conditional as clearly mentioned in my dissent letter to Business Advisory Committee,” claimed Kamat.
He said the blatant lies of the BJP alleging that Opposition had unanimously accepted for One Day Assembly Session are out of frustration and failure of the government in handling Covid Pandemic and their inefficiency in reviving the economy of Goa.
“The BJP Government stands exposed with their act of suspending all rules of the business of the house to facilitate passing of budget, 86 demands and 11 bills without any discussion. The cowardness of the Government was visible when the Chief Minister said that he and health minister are ready to make a statement on Covid19. If the government had guts, they should have accepted our demand for discussion,” charged Kamat.
He said the report of the BAC tabled in the house even mentions of no cut motions shall be moved to the demands.
He said this was not even discussed in the Business Advisory Committee meeting.
“We have given a Memorandum to the Governor demanding that he should not give his assent to the business conducted on Monday 27th July in the assembly. We will wait for his response and accordingly decide on our next action plan,” he stated.
