Panaji: The Goa Police has announced that more than 26,000 QuickPasses have been issued so far, marking a significant step towards streamlining traffic movement and enhancing road safety across the state.
According to officials, the QuickPass system has been introduced to ensure faster movement of vehicles, hassle-free commuting, and reduced waiting time at key checkpoints and high-traffic zones. The initiative also promotes a digital and transparent mechanism aimed at improving overall traffic management.
The department stated that the system strengthens law enforcement while offering a smart and secure mobility solution for daily commuters. By integrating QR-based verification and digital processing, the QuickPass initiative minimizes manual intervention and enhances efficiency.
Police authorities described the development as a major milestone in transforming travel across Goa, adding that the initiative contributes to efficient traffic management and safer roads.
The move is being seen as part of broader efforts by the state administration to modernize traffic systems and make commuting more convenient for residents and visitors alike.
