PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that in the last 2 years over 275 kg of illegal drugs worth nearly ₹15 crore have been seized.
CM also said that nearly 400 cases registered and over 450 persons have been arrested.
“In the last 2 years over 275 kg of illegal drugs worth nearly ₹15 crore have been seized with nearly 400 cases registered and over 450 persons arrested,nearly 400 cases registered and over 450 persons have been arrested,” said CM Sawant
He further said that continuous action by Goa Police has broken the back of drug trafficking in the state.
“On International Day Against Drug Abuse, Goa reiterates its commitment to Zero Tolerance to Illegal Drugs,” he added
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said his government was committed to a ‘drug free’ Goa after legislators from both the ruling and opposition benches alleged that drugs were freely available in the state.
