ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have arrested a foreign national for overstaying in the country without valid travel documents. The incident took place on 12th April 2025 near Tattoo’s Residency, Gubla Wado, Siolim, Bardez, Goa. Acting on a state complaint, police found Miss Nassali Natasha Stella, a 30-year-old Ugandan national, residing in the area without a valid passport or visa. Her presence in India was in direct contravention of the provisions of the Foreigners Act, 1946. Following verification, Anjuna Police registered Crime No. 65/2025 under Section 14 of the Act. The accused was taken into custody and subsequently remanded to 14 days of judicial custody. The case highlights the continued vigilance of local law enforcement in monitoring violations of immigration laws.
