Panaji: On the ninth day of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Men Championship 2024-25, two matches took place, showcasing the competitive spirit of the participating teams.
In the first match, P.G. Goa University, Taleigao, dominated Goa College of Pharmacy, winning by a convincing margin of eight wickets. The second match saw Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim, emerge victorious against Goa Dental College, Bambolim, with a six-wicket win.
P.G. Goa University won the toss and chose to bowl first. Goa College of Pharmacy managed 103/7 in 18 overs, with Devesh Kudalkar scoring 26 runs and Sahil Gaonkar contributing 18. In response, P.G. Goa University achieved 105/2 in just 10.1 overs, thanks to Poornay Sudhir’s impressive 34 runs off 11 balls and Sunil Naik’s 33 runs off 30 balls.
Rosary College won the toss and elected to bowl. Goa Dental College scored 87/8 in 20 overs, with Kartik Chari leading with 45 runs. Rosary College successfully chased the target, reaching 88/4 in 13.5 overs, led by Yash Jogale’s 35 runs.
