CALANGUTE: Two incidents have been reported from the Baga and Arpora areas where LED display boards of two shops — Revive Hair Cutting Salon in Baga and Whiskey Pedia in Arpora — were found flashing the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad.”
As soon as the matter was brought to notice, teams from Calangute Police Station and Anjuna Police Station swiftly acted and apprehended all persons operating the establishments. The police also disconnected the LED boards immediately to prevent further display.
An FIR is being registered at both police stations under Sections 152 read with 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 66C and 66F of the Information Technology Act.
Police said that a detailed investigation is underway to ascertain how the offensive content appeared on the boards and whether any external tampering or hacking was involved.
