VASCO: Forthcoming Panchayat elections in Goa will be fought on individual capacity and not on party lines, says Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho.
With the Panchayat elections approaching fast, the eagerness of the aspirants is on the rise. The possible candidates who are willing to contest for Panchayat elections are seen mostly at various functions wherein local MLAs and Ministers are present.
Following the excitement regarding the Panchayat election, when Godinho questioned whether the Panchayat election would be fought on Party lines, Godinho replied that the Panchayat election would not be fought on the party lines individually by the candidates.
He further said that these grassroots level elections should not be fought on party lines as we need the support of all people from the grassroots level. Ultimately whoever wins is ours as we want Cooperation from all people to bring overall development in all rural areas.
