Panaji: Ishaan Colaso, Sachi Desai, Chandan Caro, Neeza Kamat, Aaron Farias, and Ishita Colaso emerged as the champions of the Panjim Gymkhana Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, organized by Panjim Gymkhana in aegis with the Goa Table Tennis Association at the Panjim Gymkhana premises. The event thrilled table tennis fans with intense matches and impressive displays of skill across multiple categories, on Sunday.
In the Boys U11 final, Ishaan Colaso defeated Yuvaan Sanke 3-1 in a hard-fought contest (11-13, 11-3, 11-8, 14-12), while in the Girls U11 category, Sachi Desai triumphed over Tisha Shaikh 3-2 after a dramatic five-set match (11-8, 11-6, 10-12, 3-11, 11-4).
Chandan Caro claimed victory in the Boys U15 final, beating Rishan Shaikh 3-1 (8-11, 13-11, 11-8, 11-9). The Girls U15 final was an intense battle, with Neeza Kamat making a remarkable comeback to edge past Ishita Colaso 3-2 (9-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-7, 12-10).
In the Men’s category, Aaron Farias showcased his dominance, winning 4-0 against Diljeet Velingkar (11-7, 11-5, 14-12, 11-7), while the Women’s final saw Ishita Colaso overcome Pradnya Caro 3-1 (9-11, 11-8, 12-10, 11-8) after recovering from an early set loss.
