After being in Green Zone for four months, the capital city of Panjim has seen a sudden spurt in COVID19 cases as it reported 12 new cases in just one day.
Corporation of City of Panaji Mayor Uday Madakaikar informed that there were 12 new cases on Wednesday.
Madkaikar said that nine cases were from fish market building, two from St Inez, Bandh and one from local hotel.
Meanwhile, the Dhempe Bhat area, at Tonca, in CCP jurisdiction has been sealed after one person was found positive.
The Mayor said that sanitisation of the place has been already undertaken.
Madkaikar, however, was disappointed with the Health officials as they failed to timely inform the CCP and the local corporate about positive cases.
