VASCO: Paresh Joshi has been elected as the president of the Damodar Saptah Utsav Committee during the Annual General Meeting on Sunday.
In honour of Vasco’s renowned festival reaching its 125th anniversary this year, special programs are being planned for the celebration.
Following his election, Paresh Joshi shared with the media that the committee unanimously chose him as the President of the Damodar Utsav Samiti to mark the festival’s 125th year. He expressed his gratitude for being unanimously elected once again, recalling that during the 50th and 100th year of the festival, he was also chosen unanimously as the Utsav Samiti president.
Joshi emphasized the significance of the 125th year and assured that the committee is set to organize a grand celebration with a variety of religious and cultural programs.
He reiterated their commitment to making this year’s Saptah festival a remarkable and memorable experience for devotees travelling from across Goa and different parts of the country to offer prayers to Shri Damodar. The committee’s plans to celebrate the 125th year of the Annual Damodar Bhajani Saptah Festival indicate an exciting and significant event for the devotees and the community as a whole.
