CANACONA: Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar on Thursday said that the Partition of India in 1947, which destroyed the lives of millions, stands as a lesson of unity for the nation.

This day teaches us the lesson of unity. To ensure such events never happen again, we must preserve unity, harmony, and brotherhood. This will be the true tribute to the victims of Partition,” he said.
The event concluded with floral tributes to the martyrs and a pledge to uphold national unity.
