CANACONA: A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a rashly driven motorcycle near Golden Fish Bar and Restaurant at Dapot, Maxem, on October 21, 2025, around 6:30 p.m.
According to a state complaint filed by Lady Head Constable Riya Khandekar (LHC 4564) of Canacona Police Station, the accused Alex Corte, a resident of Maxem, Canacona, was riding his motorcycle from Pollem towards Canacona when he allegedly lost control and rammed into a pedestrian, identified as Raghunath Shet, a resident of Honnavar, Karnataka.
Police said the rider was driving in a rash and negligent manner, thereby endangering human life.
The impact caused bodily injuries to the pedestrian, who was later shifted for medical attention.
The case has been registered at Canacona Police Station, and further investigation is being carried out by LHC Riya Khandekar, officials confirmed.
