Zuarinagar: A pedestrian sustained injuries after being hit by a motorcycle allegedly ridden in a rash and negligent manner near Bharat Petrol Pump opposite the BITS Pilani campus at Zuarinagar on Monday evening.
According to Verna police, the accident occurred on March 2 at around 7:50 pm when Prabhakar Dandwate, a resident of Sancoale and native of Beed in Maharashtra, was riding his Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle from MES College towards Upasnagar.
When he reached opposite Bharat Petrol Pump near the BITS Pilani campus, the motorcycle allegedly dashed against a pedestrian, identified as Ranjan Nath, a resident of Zuarinagar in Sancoale and native of Assam, who was walking along the kuccha roadside in the same direction.
Due to the impact, both the pedestrian and the motorcycle rider sustained injuries.
The case has been registered on the complaint of ASI Sudhakar Jadhav of Verna Police Station.
