VERNA: A pedestrian was injured in a road mishap at Matol, Verna, on September 9 evening.
According to Verna Police, at around 7:15 pm, the rider of a Bullet motorcycle, Ruban Silva, resident of Chandrawaddo, Fatorda, allegedly rode in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Pirni Verna towards Margao.
Near Garden Auto Care on the Western Bypass Road, he knocked down pedestrian Sebastiao Fernandes of Matol, Verna, who was crossing the road towards the workshop.
Fernandes sustained injuries and was shifted for medical treatment. Further investigation is being carried out by HC Sudeshkumar Desai of Verna Police Station.
