PERNEM: Pernem police have confiscated 1305 litres of liquor worth Rs 4,35,000 at Naibagh.
The person namely Shri Ajit Sukhdev Kambale, age 26 years r/o Saneguruji Vasahat Laxmitek Parisar, Kolhapur, Maharashtra was caught red-handed for transporting i) 73 boxes of “Golden Ace Blue Fine Whiskey” containing 12 bottles in each box, 750 ML each bottle, totalling 657 litres, & amounting Rs. 2,19,000/- ii) 72 boxes “Black & Black Rum” containing 12 bottles in each box 750 ML each bottle, totalling 648 litres, & amounting Rs. 2,16,000/-.
The total quantity of the above liquor in litres is found to be 1,305 litres, and all worth Rs. 4,35,000/- in his Grey colour Maruti Suzuki Super Carry, CNG Mini Pickup tempo bearing No. MH-43- BX-1620 estimated value of Rs. 6,00,000/-.
The arrangement is kept to hand the said illegal liquor seized to the officials of Excise Department, Pernem, Goa
